ENTRY 3

Good evening! It's so hot out... and indoors, too... I've never swote a sweat so dense! It's been a very lonely summer, all my friends and classmates have gone on vacation to I've-No-Wi-Fisburg and nobody on Discord wants to talk when I'm awake. But I'm okay, besides that!

I'm currently working on:

• A tabletop war game! I've really struck gold with this one concept. Picture a hybrid between Mordheim's consideration of each soldier on the field with Runeterra's thoughtful (ehh...) synergy scene. Once I have all the rules written down, I'll upload it to Itch.io (very nervous about making an account there, and you can imagine why!) (no idea how digital money works and the recent fascist censorship policies) as a 16+ page name-your-price zine. Look forward to that, please!

I've been thinking about:

• Touhou. I've been playing the seventh game, Perfect Cherry Blossom. Seeing as I've reached an emotional rock bottom, I should really start investing in one of these games. There are a lot of mechanics I haven't understood yet. Another thing I don't understand is the story, gotta say, those magical girls are not very good at carrying out a conversation. But the game, is like, challenging and fun! Me like dodging bullets.
• Peggle. As a complete opposite, I've also been playing a lot of Peggle Deluxe, a child's game that brings me great anger. If any of you has any crazy expert Peggle skill knowledge, I, erm, appreciate it? Kingdom of conscience, right?
• Miniatures. I've been watching Trent Holbrook's permadeath channel, I've been watching too many kitbash videos, I've been painting minis with one of my D&D buddies... that's probably where I got the necessity to make my own war game.
• Deltarune crack theories. Togore is real. Brother Will is real. The Potato Club is real. Asgore ran over Dess AND Asriel, and their souls fused into the Roaring Knight in the Dark World. Canon! Real!
• Nicotine. My body wants me to smoke more. Must be a symptom of cabin fever.
• Homestuck. Homestuck fans are eating crazy good, huh? I should finally start reading that crap.
• RDR2. I've decided to replay that game. Still hate Micah, still love Charles and Tilly. I'm on the impossible quest of doing every single side and lesser quest before proceeding with the plot. I keep getting my horse and myself killed...

Other news:

• I can't have a single apolitical conversation with my father. I'm like "look at this thing I drew, I'm so pro-" and then he's like "you need to stop drawing what the IMMIGRANTS 😨😨😨😨 tell you to" and I'm like "WHAT ARE YOU ON ABOUT", things are getting worse between us two :( My entire family is worried about his mental health but everyone's too scared to actually approach him.
• There's this little bug in the back of my head telling me that I'm postponing a very important project that should've come out already but I can't for the life of me remember what that is. I don't have anything urgent to work on, where does this anxiety come from? (looks at you like Dora the Explorer) does Wendell need medication?
